Our Researcher Development Programme provides specialist interdisciplinary training for researchers - from doctoral to Professorial - across the university. We aspire to researcher development excellence to foster a vibrant, dynamic and intersectional research culture to maximise your researchpotential.

Our university-wide programme is delivered in collaboration with academic and professional services colleagues to connect specialist and technical research expertise across BCU. Organised around ‘Researchers and Research Communities’ and ‘Research Knowledge and Skills’, our provision supports you in areas from research career development to undertaking high quality research.

Responding to the needs of researchers

Mapped against , our provision explicitly meets external sector concordats as well as adopting a flexible approach to respond to the needs of researchers. The core programme is augmented by, and connected with, local-level provision from academics in disciplinary units or areas to bolster support enabled through subject specialist knowledge and community.
