The 探花直播 School Surveys Music Research Project is a three-year project focused on developing our understanding of music education in 探花直播 schools.听
Funded by and working in partnership with Services For Education Music Service and 探花直播 Music Education Hub, the project has three strands, exploring provision and musical experiences for young people in primary, secondary and special schools. Researchers will engage with teachers and senior leaders in these various settings through surveys drawing on practitioners experiences and knowledge of music in their schools.
When completed late in 2025, the project will inform music provision and provide a picture of music education in schools across the city. It will reveal barriers for young people accessing music education and help to inform planning to enable equitable experiences in music education for young people across the city.
This research project is centred in 探花直播, and reaches beyond by providing research knowledge about the picture of music education in a critically positioned and central UK city. It will enable discussion and debate to inform the national picture in music education at national forums and provide a touchpoint for understanding needs and gaps in provision in the education sector.
