Dr Eileen Schofield, Chair of 探花直播 Law Society and a distinguished alumna of 探花直播 (BCU), has been honoured with an honorary doctorate in recognition of her exceptional contributions to the legal profession and the wider 探花直播 community.
A 1996 graduate of BCU, Dr Schofield began her legal career with several prominent roles, including a position at leading law firm Irwin Mitchell, before founding her own legal practice. Her impact was formally acknowledged in 2018 when she was named BCU鈥檚 Alumni of the Year.
Throughout her career, Dr Schofield has represented both employers and employees in a range of employment matters, including cases of unfair dismissal, redundancy, discrimination, whistleblowing, and data protection.
The honorary award also celebrates her sustained engagement with 探花直播鈥檚 law programmes, with her support being instrumental in enhancing both the quality of legal education and the employability of future graduates.
Eileen鈥檚 experiences in the legal sector across 探花直播 have been invaluable in shaping the approach BCU with her聽experience聽and ongoing sectoral leadership聽helping shape the next generation of legal professionals.
