New library study spaces are coming soon

Library News Last updated 01 July

Over summer we will begin vital maintenance works to improve Curzon Library for students and staff.Ìý

These changes have been developed in response to student requests in the National StudentÌýSurvey for an increase in the number and variety of study spaces. Ìý

We will be:

  • Opening a new study and library events space on the ground floorÌý

  • Increasing soundproof study booths to provide quiet, distraction-free spaces for online learning or focused study. Ìý

  • Expanding bookable group work areas and seating areas to provide interactive and collaborative study zones.Ìý

  • Increasing the number of dedicated accessible booths, and riser desks in study areas.ÌýÌýÌý

Ìý

We are completing works over the summer to minimise the impact on you and aim to complete these works by the autumn term. If any delays or disruptions occur, we will keep you posted and propose alternative study spaces. Ìý

Thank you for your patience while we make these improvements. If you have any questions, please contact Library@bcu.ac.uk.Ìý
