RBC鈥檚 Young Singers programme recently marked the conclusion of its three-year phase, which has been funded by the Linbury Trust.
The programme has supported young people aged 11-18 from 探花直播 and the surrounding areas, providing high quality vocal training in an inclusive, accessible and wellbeing-focused environment.
Since its launch, this free initiative has grown into a diverse musical community. Young participants have benefitted from one-on-one coaching delivered by professional practitioners, supporting the development of their vocal skills and personal confidence.
The impact of the programme has been significant, with one participant recently winning the Under-14 Category at Bewdley Music Festival鈥檚 Wyre Forest Young Musician of the Year, performing a piece she had worked on during these sessions.
The programme has also opened doors to national opportunities, with one young person accepting a place at the Royal Northern College of Music, while another has been cast in the National Youth Music鈥檚 upcoming summer production of Carousel.
To mark the end of this funding phase, the Young Singers recently performed music from Dido and Aenas, which was rehearsed and recorded during their final workshop. .
The public is invited to experience the talents of the Young Singers at the upcoming A Musical Mystery Tour family concert, taking place on Saturday 21 June at RBC. Visit the website for tickets and event details.
