Junior RBC (JRBC) Wind Orchestra performed at the Music for Youth National Festival in Symphony Hall, 探花直播 last month.鈥赌听
As one of the UK鈥檚 largest celebrations of youth music, the 听is an annual event bringing thousands of young musicians to 探花直播 for three days of live performances, workshops and creative activities. 听
From orchestras and choirs to jazz bands, ensembles and new music creators, the festival showcases the talent and diversity of the next generation.听
The performance from JRBC wind and brass players was a culmination of a year's hard work, following their previous successes鈥听at the National Concert Band Festival鈥at Warwick Hall in听Warwick听last December and The Royal Northern College of Music in April.鈥The ensemble performed Shakespeare Pictures by Nigel Hess, a challenging and uplifting work with plenty of听colour and variety.鈥赌听
Conductor Jeff Snowdon reflected: 鈥淭he Wind Orchestra excelled itself!听The whole performance felt cohesive and solid, capturing all the dramatic character of the different movements. 听
鈥淭here was outstanding solo work from lead players, and the cathedral organ helped to bring the performance to an exciting conclusion. I don鈥檛 think the ensemble has ever sounded better!鈥澨
