Daniele Rosina
Daniele Rosina is a UK-based conductor who has performed at some of the world鈥檚 most prestigious music festivals including the Beijing Modern Music Festival, Cheltenham Music Festival and the BBC Proms.聽 In the theatre he has worked as assistant conductor for San Francisco Ballet both in the United States and on tour at the Edinburgh International Festival with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra.
A leading exponent of contemporary music, Daniele has conducted 探花直播 Contemporary Music Group, Ensemble Court-Circuit and Orkest De Ereprijs, and is principal conductor of Decibel Ensemble. He has worked with composers including Louis Andriessen, Howard Skempton, Michael Finnissy and Richard Ayres. Daniele is co-artistic director of 探花直播鈥檚 CrossCurrents new music festival. He has recorded works for the NMC label, including Joe Cutler鈥檚 Akhmatova Fragments and many of his performances have been broadcast on BBC Radio 3.
Daniele is resident conductor and principal orchestral conducting tutor at Royal 探花直播 Conservatoire. He regularly leads the Conservatoire鈥檚 ensembles and orchestras in concerts and tours across the UK, Europe and Asia. For ten years he was principal conductor of the Junior Royal 探花直播 Conservatoire Symphony Orchestra. He works regularly with 探花直播 Schools Symphony Orchestra and is currently Director of Orchestral Studies at the University of 探花直播. Daniele studied conducting at Royal 探花直播 Conservatoire with Edwin Roxburgh. He has reached the final stages of prestigious competitions including the Leeds Conductors Competition and the LSO Donatella Flick Conducting Competition, and has participated in masterclasses with Colin Metters and Pierre Boulez.
The past years have seen him work regularly Orchestra of the Swan with whom he recently recorded the highly successful album Labyrinths the on the Signum label.
